Junction West Vallecito Resort & Campground in Southwest Colorado

From late spring through the end of summer, the pavilion and main hall stay busy — live music, karaoke, pizza nights, and cornhole boards that never really get put away. Here’s what a typical week looks like.

Season highlights

Fourth of July

Our signature weekend — the cornhole tournament gets serious, the music goes late, and the whole park turns out. Regulars book it nearly a year out.

Live music at the pavilion

Local acts under the pines. Bring a chair, stay for the sunset.

Karaoke night

Low bar for talent, high bar for fun. Everyone’s welcome on the mic.

Pizza night

The one that quietly turns into a reunion. Easy way to meet your neighbors.

Meet Your Hosts: Kevin & Renee

Every campground has sites and hookups. What makes Junction West Vallecito Resort feel like Vallecito is the people who run it — and that starts with your hosts, Kevin and Renee.

You’ll probably meet them at check-in, around the pavilion, or making the rounds to see how your stay is going. That hands-on, know-your-guests approach is on purpose. A lot of the folks who pull in each summer aren’t first-timers — they’re returning families who’ve been coming back for years, seasonal neighbors who feel more like old friends, and first-timers who leave already planning next year.

That’s the community feel Kevin and Renee work to protect: quiet mornings in the pines, kids biking between sites, neighbors swapping fishing tips, and evenings around the fire with your phone finally left in the camper. It’s also why the park is home to Carving #1 of the Tour of Carvings — a tribute to the firefighters and community who came together after the Missionary Ridge Fire. Community isn’t a tagline here; it’s the reason the place runs the way it does.
